Statutory Instrument 257 will be secondary legislation under Section 75 of the Health & Social Care Act. It will secretly become law without parliamentary debate on the 1st April 2013.
That doesn’t sound interesting, but it is the product of lobbying groups that have been working on weak, bankrupt and greedy governments to dismantle the NHS. That way the government can continue to tax you for the NHS branding it may retain, but you will have to pay again for decent healthcare. Out of the pension you won’t get. Or out of your savings that will vanish when the pound is destroyed to pay for the banksters’ games.
Don’t think it’s about the free market. It’s about a captive market for favoured buyers. Those that control the revolving doors between government and the really big money. The ones that pay the lobbyists.
And obviously that means more quality assurance by mere accreditation – so that the decline in real quality can be covered up.
UPDATE: The government is to review the regulations for compulsory NHS tendering to prevent “misinterpretation”.
