Nobody cares – true or false?

I asked an experienced professional writer how best to highlight the problem of the quality accreditation scam.  His response was less prolix than usual: “You can’t.  Nobody cares.”

He seems to be correct.  How awful that being boring is so effective a camouflage for something so pernicious.

I sent articles to several large circulation publications.  The one reply I received was a rejection.  I do not intend to waste time preparing more papers for peer-reviewed academic journals.  These at least have the courtesy to reply, but referees are unlikely to escape the groupthink of scientific management.  The days of media dominance by the old titles and peer review is passing.  This blog is to test if anyone is interested in one of the things that is quietly sapping freedom and ruining working life.
